Jack: Week 2

Jack is growing fast and getting cuter and cuter every day.  This week he had his first bath, had fluffy hair, had his second pediatrician appointment and learned to make a few more adorable faces :)

This is the fluffy hair that Jack got after I dried him off.  His hair is clean and soft and so blonde!  It dried so fast that I couldn't do anything with it after that! I had to re-wet it in order to get it lay down :)

And.... he was very awake the other night and was making super cute faces so I just kept taking pictures.  Enjoy!

 Mmmmmm... tasty fingers!!!!

So, I know that at only two weeks old that when Jack smiles it's just gas but I like to pretend he's really smiling at me :)  he has a few different "smiles" too!  The small closed mouth one, the big open grin (top), and the half smile (bottom).  He almost always sticks his tongue out too!

Jack had his 2 week wellness checkup on Wednesday.  He now weighs 6 lbs 1 oz and is 19.1 inches long!  He is growing fast (but is still a little cutie ;)

Daddy/Son time!  Jonathan just loves Jack soooooo much!  They're so cute together :) :) :) Love my boys!

Our Little Baby Boy: Week 1

Well, we have had a busy week!  Jonathan and I welcomed our little baby boy, Jack Richard Adams, into our lovely family on May 14th, 2014 :)  Jack was born at 7:24 am at the American Fork Hospital weighing 5 lbs 12 oz and measuring 17.5 inches long.  We had no idea we would have such a tiny little baby!  He was full term at 39 weeks and 3 days.

The shirt they put on him at the hospital was soooo big on him! I think he looks like a little penguin when he has his feet tucked up in it :)

Jack is such a cute baby!  We couldn't get over how much hair he was born with!  Its such a light brown that in most light it looks very blonde :)

The nurse who gave Jack his bath after he was born gave him a little fauxhawk and it was so cute!!! We've been giving him one every day since, its such good look for our little boy :)

We came home that Friday and have been doing very well.  Jack is a very calm baby and sleeps so well! Jonathan has been able to take lots of time off work in order to spend time at home with us and we have been enjoying the time together as a family.

Sleeeeeeepy eyes........

When we brought him home we realized we hadn't anticipated just how small he was going to be.  All of the newborn/0-3 month onsies we had were all way big on him.  Luckily we were able to find some that were just a speck smaller and seem to fit him well now that he's getting a little chubbier.

Jonathan and I have been taking so many pictures, Jack is just so photogenic!

When we swaddle him he looks like a little burrito - a baby burrito!

If we don't swaddle his arms, he will put his hands up on either side of his head.

First ride in a car seat (not counting the ride home from the hospital).  This was our first outing after coming home :) Jonathan, Jack, and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa!

He makes a lot of old man faces and has this strange little pseudo smile (not a real smile because he's too young, but I pretend its real ;) that he gives me all the time.  I've really been trying to get a picture of him doing it but when he does its gone just as fast.  He has so much personality in him already, I just can't wait to watch him grow up! We just love this little guy soooo stinking much :) :) :)
